Partial Execution Framework
In this chapter the Partial Execution Framework (PEF) is depicted in detail. The PEF is used in migration phase when the organization that is adopting BPM Flow has existing processes running.
The PEF allow to create new processes and automatically bring each process to a specific task of the definition. After applying the PEF the execution of the process can be resumed by the users using the regular WEB application.
Each task of a process in the PEF is represented by XML string or a Domain Object. The representation format depend if the task definition is an Orbeon Form® or a Seaside Component®.
PEF framework is also used with SUnit to simulate the execution of hundred of processes to test the BPM Execution Engine.
