# Backoffice Manual

This section describes the functions and operations available in the **Backoffice Application**.

The **Backoffice** application is where processes are defined, and the application environment is configured. The **Frontoffice** application is where processes are executed and is the application non-administrative users will interact with.\

To enter the Backoffice application open a internet browser and open the link:

...where the ipAddress and port point to your Seaside server running in GemStone/S.\

 By default the Backoffice has one user:\
 User: *admin*\
 Password: *admin*
